Wallis won an encouragement award at the 2010 George London Foundation Competition in New York.


Wallis has been invited to attend the Britten-Pears Young Artist Program in Aldeburgh, England, for June 2010.

Wallis has been selected as one of 15 Steans Institute Young Artists for The 2010 Ravinia Festival in Chicago, and has been invited to the International Vocal Arts Institute in both Tel Aviv, Israel, and Montreal, Canada.


July 2010, Wallis will sing the role of Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring with Opera on the Avalon in St. John’s, Newfoundland.


In the 2010 Ottawa Choral Society New Discoveries Auditions, Wallis was one of four winners, along with COC Ensemble Studio graduates Betty Allison and Alexander Hajek, and fellow Ottawa native, Philippe Sly. Look for an upcoming 2010/2011 engagement with the Choral Society...


The Canadian Opera Company has announced their 10/11 season, and Wallis will sing roles in Death in Venice, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, cover Angelina in Cenerentola, and Nancy Mao in Nixon in China.

Wallis has joined the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio for the 09/10 season, and will sing the title role in Cinderella (Massenet/Rossini) for their touring production, as well as cover the roles of Mercedes in Carmen, and Idamante in Idomeneo.


Wallis has received a grant from The Canada Council for the Arts to cover Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at The Aspen Opera Theatre Centre (summer 2009)
